Je pensais bien que j'allais trouver Las sur ce genre de topic.

Mais je me permets de rappeler la "règle" : albums qui ont au moins dix ans et je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit le cas d'Alice. Il me semble que c'est sorti il y a trois-quatre ans mais c'est vrai que c'étaient des enregistrements plus anciens.

Ah oui, Babylon (que j'ai posté aussi plus haut). Ca claque tout le long. Quel son ! Pour moi, toutes ces interpratations live sont meilleures que les originaux (ça groove, c'est "blues" comme c'est pas permis.

+1 pour Sly Stone (la compil "The Essential" où il y a le meilleur de tous les albums, en remastérisé en pluche).

Southern Nights (1975) d'Allen Toussaint célébrissime producteur de la Nouvelle Orléans mais qui a peu enregistré sous son nom, étant précisé qu'il vaut mieux éviter le disque qu'il vient de sortir avec Elvis Costello, sans intérêt), une merveille pop-funk pas facile à trouver (seulement en import japon, je crois). C'est un peu daté, mais mélodies géniales, superbes arrangements, avec cuivres et backvocals. Parmi, les musicos, il y a les Meters (donc groove assuré). Même si ce n'est pas très new sound, ça vaut vraiment un large, large détour.

Par contre, j'ai essayé de dépoussiérer récemment suite à un coup de nostalgie un album de Barclay James Harvest, groupe que j'adorais lorsque j'étais étudiant au début des 80. Et bien je n'y suis pas arrivé ! Quasiment inécoutable tant c'est devenu vieillot et dépassé.

Voilà une liste qu'elle est bonne ! Alors pour moi ce sera Hunky Dory, Harvest, Abbey Road, Tusk, Wish you were here et Exile on main st.

Pour JJ Cale, je préfère le premier "Naturally" et pour The Eagles, The Long Run. Pour Lennon, ce sera plutôt Plastic Ono Band. De Springsteen, je mettrai le premier (Geeetings from Asbury Park)

Et je n'ai pas parlé des compil, parce qu'il y en a des tonnes, Dylan, Hendrix, Doors, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Clash, mais çà faisait long !
