The first is close to the recorded version- I'm sure they capo on II and play the F#m as: e-2 B-5 G-6 D-4 A-4 E-2 The notes at II are capoed - the others are fingered. The chord is finger-picked- listen to the recording for the pattern. If you want to do it without the capo, it's harder to form-- e-0 B-2 G-2 D-2 A-0 E-2 It's like an A chord with F# bass. at "...I never chose" the A is at V and the E at IV.. Here's the record version - lyrics unaligned. F#m |F#m |F#m |F#m [intro] [run down from "A" @ V] F#m |F#m |F#m |F#m [another run down] [and a 3rd] F#m |F#m |F#m |F#m The walls are thin here in this motel room, some fool is raging overhead F#m |F#m |A B |F#m He's preaching the gospel according to.....Johnny Walker Red F#m |F#m |F#m |F#m Four hundred miles talking to myself, me & your memory end up here F#m |F#m |A B |F#m I tell myself I'm gonna be alright, but it's still not clear D E |F#m |D E |F#m Did I just miss, the last exit to Eden? Is this the only love I'll know? D E |A B |D E |A E F#m Like a Judas kiss, did my heart betray me? Back on the road I never chose F#m |F#m |F#m |F#m There are some sins that you can justify, but not the one I'm guilty of..
